Malaysian SMEs Score High in Employee Experience

The SME100-WTW Employee Experience Study 2020 revealed that Malaysian SMEs are ahead in employee engagement despite the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The regional study was jointly conducted by Business Media International, the organisers of the SME100 Awards, and Willis Towers Watson, the leading global HR advisory firm to provide SMEs with insight on their employees amidst the current pandemic and to raise awareness around the importance of developing strong employee experience. Besides Malaysia, the study was conducted and completed earlier this year across Indonesia, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Digitalisation and affluence to drive ASEAN banking sector, tail risks from pandemic remain

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 June 2021 ASEAN’s banking landscape will be shaped by increasing digitalisation, growing wealth in the region, evolving talent requirements and higher  regulations around capital and liquidity, according to speakers at Maybank Kim Eng’s Invest  ASEAN 2021 webinar, ASEAN Financials: The Shape of Things to Come, yesterday. 

Thilan Wickramsinghe, Regional Head, Banks Research, Maybank Kim Eng said: “ASEAN  banks are set to tap new opportunities with rising cross-border trade, higher digital adoption  and rising wealth. To win, they will need to adopt technology and new work models, and  become closer to customers. But the path to growth needs to be tread carefully as tail risks  from the pandemic remain.” 

UOB Malaysia extends COVID-19 Relief Assistance Programme for its customers affected by MCO 3.0

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 14 June 2021 – UOB Malaysia has extended its COVID-19 Relief Assistance Programme for customers affected by the nation-wide Movement Control Order (MCO 3.0) that started on 1 June 2021. 

UOB Malaysia’s COVID-19 Relief Assistance Programme, which was established in March 2020 and revised in October 2020, is now being enhanced in line with the government’s recent PEMERKASA Plus aid package. The relief assistance programme is now available to:
