KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: 2 March 2021 - All-in-one HR, payroll and benefits platform, Employment Hero, today announced it has raised RM141.6 million in a Series D funding round to accelerate growth in Australia, and double-down on its international expansion strategy. The latest funding was led by return investor SEEK, with participation from previous backers, OneVentures and AirTree Ventures, as well as the company’s newest investor, Salesforce Ventures.
As part of its first wave of international roll out, Employment Hero successfully launched localised versions of its signature people, payroll and benefits solution in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Singapore in late 2020. Funds raised from the Series D will support Employment Hero’s continued growth in these markets and facilitate a significant push across Southeast Asia, reinforcing the company’s mission to make employment easier and more rewarding for every SME on the planet.
Kuala Lumpur, 1 March 2021 – Cyberview Sdn. Bhd. (Cyberview) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) to leverage on each other’s strengths, networks, and capabilities with the goal of cultivating a strong talent ecosystem in Cyberjaya and ultimately preparing Malaysia’s workforce for a digital future.
This strategic collaboration between both parties will include talent development and talent enhancement initiatives so that Malaysians are well-equipped to succeed in today’s fast-changing, technological world. The MoU aims to improve graduate marketability through greater academia and industry collaboration with the objective of preparing graduates to meet industry needs, as well as minimise private investments on talent reskilling and upskilling.
Signifying the start of this collaboration, both companies will work together on a structured internship programme which provides a tax incentive to employers by entitling them to double deduction. The process of bringing in expatriates to set up base in Cyberjaya will also be streamlined with the roles of Cyberview’s Cyberjaya Investment and Services Centre (CISC) and TalentCorp’s Malaysia Expatriate Services Centre (MYXpats Centre) converging.
