Local Industrial Automation Specialist, Galactic Advance Engineering Sdn Bhd, today launched its landmark technology, GENiE Smart Factory Solution, with an aim to increase the adoption of smart manufacturing practices among industrial players in Malaysia and the South East Asia (SEA) region.

The 5G Malaysia Showcase which was ongoing for four days in Putrajaya, provided an opportunity for Malaysians to witness and experience for themselves the benefits of 5G technology and its impact to their lives.

Communications and Multimedia Minister, Gobind Singh Deo said that visitors to the showcase will have the opportunity to witness various demonstrations, such as the usage of hologram to allow virtual presence, remote patient treatment and diagnosis, humanoid robotic motion control, autonomous car controlled using a combination of sensors and cameras, radar and Artificial Intelligence using 5G technology.

FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, officially launched its new Johor Station, a one-stop logistics facility aimed to enhance connectivity of southern Malaysia region to the world.

The warehouse, measuring 2,676 square meters (28,808 square feet), is an integrated warehouse and sorting facility that is more than twice the size of the previous station.
