Sunway Iskandar and NEC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (NEC) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a collaboration which aims to augment safety and security for the 1,800-acre Sunway Iskandar township in Johor and to develop smart city solutions together in an Innovation Centre of Excellence (CoE).

The MoU will see the appointment of NEC Asia Pacific as one of Sunway Iskandar’s preferred ICT Vendor (system integrator and equipment provider).

PETRONAS will jointly develop a new technology with TiME Marine Services Sdn Bhd, winner of the third PETRONAS Technology Challenge, to find innovative and economic solutions in sludge treatment to recover hydrocarbon onshore.

The announcement of the winner was held during the 4th Malaysia Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC 2018) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

NEM Malaysia hosted the first-ever Women in Blockchain (WIB) Asia event at the NEM Blockchain Centre (NBC) – the largest blockchain centre of its kind in Asia – located at GLO Damansara in Kuala Lumpur.

WIB Asia kickstarts the KL Blockchain Week, held from 24-27 September 2018, where participants will hear insights of entrepreneurs, developers and regulators bringing blockchain to life in this part of the world, and gain valuable knowledge of the practical and potential uses of blockchain.
