Fonterra’s foodservice business Anchor Food Professionals and the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs) announced Singapore’s Lim Wei Hrn and Finland’s Niall Larjala as the winners of the Global Pastry Chefs Challenge and Global Young Chefs Challenge respectively.

The competitions were part of the Worldchefs Congress and Expo 2018 which took place last week where each competition saw 10 chefs compete on a global scale for the championship title.

Results from a series of demonstration plots at a model farm show that the BASF Clearfield Production System (BASF) remains a solution to control weedy rice, even when neighboring paddy fields experience infestation.

The demonstration plots, in a program organised by the Integrated Agricultural Development Area of Northwest Selangor (IADA BLS) and BASF, have shown that when used in compliance with the full system stewardship guidelines, Clearfield Production System is far more effective than current standard practices.
