BAHTERA 2017 (Southern Edition), is a program targeted towards grooming Bumiputera entrepreneurs was launched recently by Chief Minister of Johor, Datuk Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin and witnessed by the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Irwan Serigar bin Abdullah.
This program is cultivated by the Ministry of Finance along with the National Entrepreneurs Development Office (NEDO), Unit Pembangunan Ekonomi Johor (UPENJ) and Johor Entrepreneur Development Center (EDC) which will be held for two days starting on 14 October 2017 to 15 October 2017.
The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB)has entered into a collaboration agreement with the Ateneo Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) Institute of Banking (AB-IB) to promote regional professional development in banking education to risk management professionals in the Philippines through AICB’s Bank Risk Management Qualification (BRM Qualification).
Given the growing significance of professional education development in the banking and financial industry, there is a pressing need for banking and financial practitioners to be equipped with the right skills and values to meet the requirements of the new regulatory regimes as well as the rapidly changing banking landscape.
The 30% Club Malaysia Chapter recently hosted a roundtable engagement on 10th October at the Securities Commission with invited Chairmen and board directors in efforts to achieve 30% women representation on public listed corporate boards by 2020.
The roundtable was the third such engagement in 2017 and it was chaired by 30% Club Advisory Co Chair Datuk Mohaiyani Shamsudin, and Executive Co Founding Chair Anne Abraham.
