Minecraft: Education Edition celebrates first anniversary, crosses 2 Million Licensed Users

In conjunction with its first anniversary of Minecraft: Education Edition, Microsoft announced that a new Minecraft Hour of Code Tutorial, Hero’s Journey,  which has been released as part of its ongoing support for Hour of Code. This is the third consecutive year that Microsoft is supporting this global movement to help students learn the basics of coding, which will be held between 4 to 10 December. 

Working with Minecraft game designers, computer science educators, and Code.org's learning designers, the new Minecraft tutorial introduces coding concepts using the popular video game that millions of players around the world are already exploring, teaching, and learning with every day. To date, nearly 70 million people around the world are using Minecraft tutorials to learn about the basics of coding.

3rd Counter-Terrorism Financing Summit 2017

The 3rd Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) Summit organised by Bank Negara Malaysia in partnership with Australia’s financial intelligence agency, AUSTRAC, and Indonesia’s Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan (PPATK), will be held in Kuala Lumpur on 20 - 23 November 2017. 

The Summit will bring together more than 350 specialists and professionals from 35 countries and international organisations to share their insights on the latest terrorism financing (TF) issues and developments.

Malaysia’s Participation In WTM London To Strengthen UK And Europe Market 

Malaysia took part in London’s World Travel Market (WTM) 2017 from 6 to 8 November with a 130-strong delegation led by the Minister of Tourism and Culture Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz. It marked the country’s 34th year of participation in the premier travel and tourism trade exhibition since 1983, a gesture of Malaysia’s dedication to strengthening the UK and Europe markets. 

Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri addressed the UK and Europe media saying, “This year’s WTM participation is particularly special as we are making early preparations for the Visit Malaysia Year 2020. The WTM platform provides us the opportunity to leverage on this campaign to gain the confidence and partnership from industry players here.”

Malaysia Participates tt the 21st International Exhibition For Food, Drinks, Hospitality, Food Service, Bakery And Retail Industries (2017 FHC Shanghai) 

Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan, the Second Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia and delegation from Malaysia participated in the 21st International Exhibition for Food, Drinks, Hospitality, Food Service, Bakery and Retail Industries (2017 FHC Shanghai) on 14 November 2017. 

Overall, the 2017 FHC registered 2,350 participants from 73 countries and regions. Many participating countries including Malaysia set up their respective national pavilion at this exhibition. In addition, China’s major trading partners such as the United States of America, Italy, France, India, South Korea, Tunisia and Brazil had their promotional booths as well.
