KUALA LUMPUR, 18 June 2022 – Nippon Paint Malaysia has clinched the Platinum Award for the Most Trusted Brand (Paint Category) from Readers Digest during its Reader’s Digest’s Annual Trusted Brands Awards held at Grand Hyatt Hotel recently.
For 24 years, the award has featured prominent brands that are loved and trusted by the consumer. This year, driven by its everlasting commitment to its customers, Nippon Paint has successfully secured the award for the 17th consecutive year.
The award, which has been held for more than two decades, aimed to reach out to consumers across Asia to identify elements that make a brand trustworthy; hence, increasing the level of confidence, relevance, and purpose for its consumers towards the brand. Over the past years, various brands have been recognised through this prestigious award, as a sign of confidence of the people to the voted brands.

With that, she added that with the current rising health related concerns, Nippon Paint have put its focus on improving the lives of the people through its Wellness range latest innovation and technology infusion that could protect everyone from various viruses including COVID-19 and Hand, Food, Mouth Disease (HFMD).

The Asia Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brand award is based on its “Trusted Brands Survey” which is an audited survey conducted by Catalyst Research – an independent marketing research company. The survey identifies which brands consumers trust the most and provides an objective reference point for the market. It has a long-established reputation as the premier measure of brand trust in Malaysia and worldwide.
This edition of the awards covers a sample size of 8,000 individuals across 5 regional markets including Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. During this survey, consumers were required to name the brand they trust above all others and then rate the brand according to the six attributes of trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation and social responsibility.
