Kuala Lumpur, 22 June 2022 – Altair Engineering Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian operations of Altair (Nasdaq: ALTR), a global leader in computational science and artificial intelligence, and Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster industry-ready graduates who possess in-demand industry skills.
The MoU aims to deepen both organizations’ research capabilities in Industrial Revolution and Digital Transformation and enhance graduates’ marketability. Through this collaboration, Altair and IUKL aim to upskill and enhance IUKL graduates’ digital literacy.
Altair Engineering Managing Director ASEAN and ANZ, Srirangam Srirangarajan, highlighted Altair’s commitment to elevate digital literacy at tertiary level. “Altair will work with IUKL to modernize the curriculum to suit the impending digitalization drive in the industry and lay a strong foundation for the wards to continuously self-upgrade and be contemporary technologically for the rest of their work life.”
“In line with the nation's aspiration of Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 (SPV2030) Altair will equip the students and practicing engineers alike, in the identified economic sectors with necessary knowledge on the latest technologies like AI/ML/Data analytics,” said Srirangam Srirangarajan.
Over the next five years, Altair aims for a collaborative engagement that enables students to experience best-in-class real-world industrial tools and work culture. Banking on this close relationship, the collaboration aims to develop students who have the potential to be pioneers in industry.

The collaboration aims to attract the interest of Malaysian youths to dive into the digital industry, bringing in new energy and creativity. Altair and IUKL plan to empower Malaysian youth to play a critical role in nation-building.
