Kuala Lumpur, 9 July 2022 – Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (“Alliance Bank” or the “Bank”) today announced that it will raise its Base Rate, Base Lending Rate, and Base Financing Rate by 25 basis points effective 13 July 2022, following Bank Negara Malaysia’s revision of the Overnight Policy Rate (“OPR”) on 6 July 2022.

The Bank’s Base Rate will be adjusted from 2.82% to 3.07% per annum, and Base Lending Rate and Base Financing Rate from 5.67% to 5.92% per annum. The revision will apply to all existing loans and/or financing pegged to the Base Rate, Base Lending Rate, and Base Financing Rate.

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 July 2022 – edotco Group, a leading integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company in Asia, launched its Sustainability Blueprint to fulfil its commitment to connecting the world equitably and sustainably. Outlined in the company’s inaugural Sustainability Report, titled Sustainable & Equitable Access for All, the Blueprint illustrates the Malaysia-born organisation’s mission to become a Top 5 Global telecommunications tower company (“TowerCo”) through sustainable and responsible growth, focusing on achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and aligning with its stakeholders’ sustainability ambitions. 

Launched during a ceremony officiated by Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Finance of Malaysia, the report is a compendium of the company’s sustainability efforts to date. It catalogues the company’s efforts along its sustainability journey, as it aligns its growth with key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) fundamentals, in Malaysia and across its markets of operation. The reporting period ran from 1 January – 31 December 2021 with a scope that encompasses all edotco’s operations and its subsidiaries. Locations included edotco’s Corporate Centre and National Tower Companies (NTCs) across eight countries (Malaysia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Laos).

[KUALA LUMPUR, 09 JULY 2022]: Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Huawei Malaysia) held its first ‘Huawei Media Awards and Appreciation Night 2022’ to celebrate and show their  appreciation to the media for their continuous trust and support for the company in conjunction with  Huawei’s 21 years in Malaysia. 

To recognise the media for their excellent reporting and writing with regards to Huawei, four categories of awards were up for grabs, including ‘Best Huawei Photography and Videography’,  ‘Best Huawei News in Print and Digital’, ‘Best Huawei News in Broadcast Media’, and the grand  award, ‘Overall Best Huawei Story’. Huawei Malaysia received numerous news submissions from  the media from diverse platforms and languages throughout June.
