Kuala Lumpur, 6 July 2022 --- For the second consecutive year, General Assembly Malaysia (GA Malaysia) will partner with Khazanah Nasional to deliver the Malaysia Short Term Employment Programme (MySTEP). MySTEP was conceived to help create 80,000 jobs this year and it is one of the components under the JaminKerja initiative. GA Malaysia will equip MySTEP participants with in-demand digital skills through virtual world-class, instructor-led courses in one of three digital disciplines - data analytics, digital marketing, and user experience design.
During the four-month course, participants will experience GA’s award-winning digital bootcamps, followed by a structured employability curriculum that will equip them with tools to seek meaningful employment such as business communications and personal branding. Participants will also earn a monthly allowance of RM2,000 throughout the programme. The programme also includes a three-month placement with one of GA Malaysia’s nearly 200 local hiring partners. For GA Malaysia, the ultimate aim of the programme is to provide individualised support to each participant so that they secure long-term employment in a role they find meaningful.
KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) -- AmInvestment Bank led Cagamas Berhad’s inaugural Malaysia Overnight Rate (MYOR) based Floating Rate Note (FRN) issuance as the sole lead manager. This is the nation’s first FRN referencing the MYOR, which was introduced by Bank Negara Malaysia in September 2021 as an alternative to the Kuala Lumpur Interbank Offered Rate (KLIBOR).
The landmark transaction for a notional value of RM200 million sets a new footprint for further market development towards adopting MYOR as the preferred benchmark for Ringgit floating rate capital market transaction. The MYOR FRN’s coupon will be determined prior to each coupon payment date based on the daily MYOR rate during the interest accrual period, as opposed to a KLIBOR based FRN where coupon is determined at the start of each interest accrual period.
