Multi-platform online radio station created for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, known as eFM was officially launched by the Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the Global Entrepreneurship Community Summit 2017.
Honouring the online radio station with his presence, YAB Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak sat down for a live streaming session in the first of its kind’s pop-up studio. During the 15 minutes interview, YAB Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak gave his advice to all entrepreneurs, and also shared a song that motivated and energized him in addition to emphasizing the priority of innovation and entrepreneurship to drive the country towards achieving high growth economy.
eFM, the online radio station is the brainchild of Secretary-General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance as well as the founder and patron of GEM, Global Entrepreneurship Movement, Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Irwan Serigar.
eFM is a new daily online radio station that will be the definitive resource platform to maximize the effective messages to foster a nationwide entrepreneurial culture and thinking. This is in response to the 169 government and private led development programs for entrepreneurs and SME that amounted to RM5.85 billion in 2017.
Aiming to inspire, educate and inform, the multiple platform eFM provides includes live radio and video streaming, podcasting and social network integration as well as offering in-depth perspectives on entrepreneurial insights and trend for the start-up and business community.
The first of its kind, eFM is supported by the National Entrepreneur Development Office (NEDO) under the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) and is housed at Futurise Centre, Cyberjaya.
Produced with entrepreneurs, start-ups, business professionals and enthusiasts, aspiring entrepreneurs and the general audience in mind, the multi-platform online radio features exciting and informative programs that cover the latest updates of industry evolution and economic growth of entrepreneurship in Malaysia.
Where content is concerned, eFM is a talk-format multi-lingual online radio that will greatly benefit the business community with various serial episodes featuring notable speakers sharing their entrepreneurship experience and success as well as offering informative programs such as investor-pitching tips, increasing productivity and tips on monetizing businesses.
