Canon Marketing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. continues to deliver on its passion and commitment in creating a greener environment by playing its part in contributing to a sustainable environment for the communities it operates in through its ‘One Canon One Tree’ programme.
For the third consecutive year, Canon teamed up with the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to carry out its greening efforts that is also in line with MBSA’s ‘Shah Alam Trees Life 2018’ initiative which aims to make Shah Alam into a greener city and work towards achieving a Low Carbon City status.
This year, the ‘One Canon One Tree’ programme took place in the vicinity of Kawasan Hijau Seksyen 4 in Taman Tasik Shah Alam. Both Canon and MBSA’s green initiatives share common goals in aiming to reduce carbon footprint, raising awareness and cultivating a sense of responsibility in conserving the environment within the community and to create a city-in-a- park for the community.

The area of Kawasan Hijau Seksyen 4 was selected this year for Canon’s planting of trees and shrubs as well as painting of park benches as part of MBSA’s 2018 plan to improve the landscape at Taman Tasik Shah Alam and its surrounding areas.
Brightening up the area with vibrant colours and textures, the saplings consists of shade trees, fruit trees, flowering shrubs that provide shade for leisure and recreational activities and beautify the area.
