KUALA LUMPUR, 29 MARCH 2022 – Stepping into the limelight, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) will once again be showcasing Italy’s best at the Biennial Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition and conference. Displaying the most advanced technologies in the defence industry, the conference is back after a four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As one of the most recognised defence systems in the world, ITA is back to exhibit the best defence system Italy has to offer and the DSA platform allows it to display Italian equipment to a worldwide audience.
Touted to be a first-rate defence and national security event, the 17th DSA 2022 will be hosted, supported and co-organised by the Defence and the Home ministries of Malaysia. The conference will be themed “Advancing into a New Era of Defence and Security” and the organisers are expecting more than 5,000 trade visitors from more than 50 countries and regions.
At the upcoming DSA exhibition and conference, the Italian Pavilion will be well represented by the cream of Italian defence weaponry. There will be 18 participating companies showcasing their cutting-edge technologies pertaining to defence and security. The pavilion will feature state-of-the-art cybersecurity and the latest in unmanned aerial vehicles, among others. It is an opportune time to get a closer look at Italian defence systems up close and see why Italy has always been at the forefront of global defence.
Among the companies exhibiting under the Italian Trade Agency banner, are AREA, experts in technological solutions for security and investigations; Civitanavi Systems who designs, develops, and manufactures solutions for inertial navigation, geo reference and stabilisation systems; as well as Eurocontrol SpA, manufacturer of electromechanical and mechatronic applications. Other leading Italian companies include Leonardo SPA, Electronica SPA, GEM Electronica, Feedback Italia, ICS Technologies Srl, and many more.
Italy has the edge on defence systems due to its technological advancement and highly skilled workforce. Therefore, along with the Italian Industries Federation for Aerospace Defence and Security, ITA will be present at DSA and will be available to professional visitors as well as government procurement delegations should they need any assistance when it comes to new products and technologies.
