In August 2024, Amanie Care Foundation launched the Program Asas Literasi Bahasa, a vital initiative aimed at enhancing literacy among primary school students in Kedah. Partnering with two schools in Jitra and Alor Setar, the foundation collaborates with Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri (JPN) Kedah and Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) to support 55 students from Year 2 to Year 5 who face challenges in reading, writing, and arithmetic. The first phase of this comprehensive programme is set to conclude in December 2024.
This initiative addresses the growing need for focused educational support in rural areas by providing students with structured learning modules, teaching aids, and dedicated guidance from ten trained educators over five months. Sessions are scheduled for every weekend, ensuring consistent engagement through literacy-focused activities.
By combining traditional teaching methods with interactive tools, the Program Asas Literasi Bahasa aims to equip students with the essential skills to read and write fluently while fostering a love for learning.

"Literacy is a cornerstone of education, and without strong reading skills, students face significant hurdles in all areas of learning. This initiative is our commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind, particularly in underserved communities. It goes beyond teaching reading; it’s about inspiring confidence and creating pathways for brighter futures." said Razi Pahlavi Abdul Aziz, CEO of Amanie Care Foundation.
Each school will receive tailored materials, including customised reading modules and visual aids, with support from ten dedicated teachers who will guide students throughout the learning process. This programme underscores Amanie Care Foundation’s dedication to education and community development in underprivileged areas. Through collaboration with JPN Kedah, PPD, and local schools, the foundation aims to create meaningful change where it is most needed.
Razi Pahlavi Abdul Aziz further stated, "While we are hopeful for positive outcomes, our primary goal is to provide the necessary support and resources to help students improve their reading skills and foster a positive learning environment."
