Jirnexu Signs Strategic Partnerships With Digital Banking Contenders in Support of Greater Financial Inclusion

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 July 2021 - Jirnexu, Southeast Asia’s first full-stack fintech company, today announced that the company has signed strategic partnership agreements with more than five consortia in their bids for a digital banking license. With Jirnexu’s broad customer base and in-depth understanding of their financial needs through RinggitPlus.com, the digital banking contenders can build a holistic portfolio for their license bid in this selection period.

Grab deepens partnership with Adyen to expand PayLater option to enable more merchants to attract customers and increase revenue

Malaysia, 22 July 2021 - Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading super app, has deepened its partnership with Adyen (AMS: ADYEN), the payments platform of choice for many of the world’s leading companies, by enabling more merchants - starting in Singapore and Malaysia - to offer PayLater payment options to consumers, and address increasing consumer demand for deferred payment methods. 

Available through the GrabPay wallet, merchants will now be able to offer PayLater payment methods at checkout, allowing customers to purchase what they want, when they want, and pay for it later without interest. Customers will be able to choose between interest-free payments over four instalments (PayLater Instalments), or the following month (PayLater Postpaid).

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today announced two new senior leadership appointments. Sagree Sardien joins as President & CEO, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia & Head of Region, Mercedes-Benz Cars SEA II effective 1st of June 2021 and Edmin Naidoo as the new Vice President of Customer Services MBC Malaysia & SEA II effective 1st July 2021.

With over 20 years automotive experience and 13 years of those with Daimler, Sardien started as the Head of Operations in South Africa for Daimler’s Fleet Management division. During her tenure, she held various leadership positions across the Daimler organisations in Fleet operations, Logistics, Sales, Product management and Customer Services, in South Africa. In 2018, Sardien moved to Stuttgart, Germany, where she was the Head of Sales for Region Overseas markets, comprising Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Egypt, Turkey & South Africa.
