AEON breaks ground on Seremban 2 Mall expansion: Boosting economy and lifestyle offerings

AEON CO. (M) BHD. (AEON) is set to transform the retail landscape in Negeri Sembilan with the groundbreaking of a new 4-storey extension to AEON Mall Seremban 2. The expansion is part of AEON’s commitment to meet the lifestyle and economic needs of Seremban’s rapidly growing population.

The ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato' Seri Aminuddin Harun, Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, alongside Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, Chairman of AEON CO. (M) BHD and Naoya Okada, Managing Director of AEON.

The new extension will complement the existing AEON Mall Seremban 2, which has served the local community since 2005. The new building will feature four floors, including two levels of car park. It will be developed on a 23.04 acre site located just opposite the current mall. Both buildings will be connected via an overhead pedestrian bridge, ensuring seamless access for shoppers.

With a combined total Net Lettable Area (NLA) of over 700,000 square feet, the AEON Mall Seremban 2 will become the largest mall in Seremban. The expansion of new building is targeted for completion in 2027, while the existing mall will continue to operate as usual.

ASEAN Change Management Conference 2025 Returns with Stronger Regional Voice

ASEAN Change Management Conference 2025 Returns with Stronger Regional Voice

  1. The conference promises deeper impact, real conversations, advancing results and a united regional voice for change.
  2. It will highlight on digital transformation, people-first approaches, strong leadership and real results across Southeast Asia.

Building on the success of its impactful debut last year, the ASEAN Change Management Conference 2025 (ACMC) returns to Kuala Lumpur on 1–2 October, uniting leaders and practitioners across Southeast Asia for bold leadership and a people-first focus.

With the theme ‘Advancing Results, Change Done Right!’, ACMC 2025 promises deeper regional engagement, stronger collaboration, and practical insights that go beyond theory into real-world transformation. Organized by K-Pintar Sdn Bhd, a leader in corporate learning and transformation for over 20 years, this year’s conference looks to position change not merely as a necessity, but as a skill to be honed.

“ACMC 2025 is about equipping leaders and change practitioners to implement change with precision and long-term impact. In a region as diverse and dynamic as ASEAN, change cannot be imported, it must be interpreted. And this year, we’re moving from awareness to action,” said R.A. Thiagaraja, Chairperson of ACMC and CEO of K-Pintar.

ACMC 2025’s speakers lineup includes experts from England, Poland, Africa, India, Singapore, and Malaysia — bringing global ideas together with local experience to talk about the real challenges in ASEAN.  What sets 2025 apart is renewed emphasis on Asean-rooted strategies, candid conversations, and practical applications of change leadership, especially in sectors undergoing rapid transformation.

“We’re bringing together global experts and regional practitioners to co-create solutions that work here, not in theory, but in the trenches of actual transformation. If we want resilient organizations and empowered communities, we must stop treating change as a checkbox and start treating it as a core discipline”, added Thiagaraja.

The conference centers on five topics: Trends & Innovation, Organizational Culture, Psychology & Neuroscience, Change Leadership & Fundamentals, and Digital Transformation. These subjects will be explored through masterclasses, interactive workshops, leadership dialogues and design sprints, offering participants practical tools they can apply in real-world settings.

INTAN (the National Institute of Public Administration) has come on board as a strategic collaboration partner for ACMC 2025, bringing in the perspective of Malaysia’s public sector. This partnership reflects the government’s continued efforts to drive innovation and build a more forward-looking public service. It is in line with the values of Malaysia MADANI, which supports new ideas and changes that benefit the people.

The government’s training arm, INTAN fosters innovation through courses and workshops, including change management, guided by initiatives such as the Public Service Reform Agenda. It also offers leadership development programmes that draw on public sector best practices and global updates in management and policy,

INTAN hopes the public servants joining ACMC 2025 will stay updated and involved in global change management developments.

In addition, this year’s ACMC is expected to play a role in fostering the development of a long-term, ASEAN-based community of change practitioners. In collaboration with the PMI Malaysia Chapter, Institut Koperasi Malaysia (IKMA), PIKOM, GBS, Prosci (USA) and other international organizations, the conference aims to support the establishment of a sustainable regional ecosystem focused on advancing the profession of change management.

As organizations across ASEAN face increasing complexity, speed of change, and digital disruption, ACMC 2025 invites leaders, change practitioners, and decision-makers to step forward and shape a future that is bold, inclusive, and rooted in action.

ACMC 2025 is expected to attract 500 participants from across the region. The conference is now open for registration at https://aseanchangemanagementconference.com/.

Worldwide Entech receives Malaysia Book of Records recognition for first sanitary landfill converted into a recreational park

Worldwide Entech receives Malaysia Book of Records recognition for first sanitary landfill converted into a recreational park

Worldwide Entech Sdn Bhd (Worldwide Entech), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB), has been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the first company in Malaysia to successfully convert a sanitary landfill into a public recreational park. The award was presented to Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, Executive Director of Worldwide Entech during the MBR30 Celebration of Delights held at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.

The 100-acre site, located in Puchong, holds a long list of industry milestones. In 1995, it became Malaysia’s first engineered sanitary landfill, under the WHB Group. In 2004, the same site received Malaysia Book of Records recognition for another first - the successful implementation of a landfill gas-to-energy project, converting methane gas from decomposed waste into electricity.

This latest recognition highlights Worldwide Entech’s operational excellence and innovative approach to environmental rehabilitation, while also reflecting the long-term vision and leadership of WHB in sustainable waste management and green infrastructure development.

“This achievement by Worldwide Entech is a proud reflection of our Group’s ongoing commitment to environmental innovation and CSR,” said Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria.“To transform a former landfill into a thriving public space speaks to what sustainability truly means turning yesterday’s challenges into tomorrow’s shared value.”

The converted site now serves the community as a recreational park featuring landscaped open spaces, walkways, and public amenities built on internationally accepted post-closure landfill management standards. It stands today as a model of what purposeful land transformation can look like.

As the environmental management arm of WHB, Worldwide Entech continues to lead the way in delivering long-term solutions in waste management, aligned with the Group’s vision of creating sustainable value for Selangor and beyond.  Worldwide Entech’s latest projects in delivering sustainable infrastructure and unlocking new potential for environmental management include the development of three waste-to-energy projects in Selangor.
