In attempt to induce Japanese atmosphere-based event for locals to look forward to and enjoy, Trumpet International today officially announced their first ever food themed festival “Nihon Matsuri 2022”. The festival is organised with the aim to provide the most authentic Japanese experience for Malaysians with sheer feel as if they are truly in Japan, as well as to further promote Japanese culture among Malaysians in terms of its traditions, gastronomy and performing arts. The festival is scheduled to take place from 27 to 31 July 2022 at Stadium Bukit Jalil Carpark B.
Mr Koo Kien Keat, Executive Director of XOX Networks highlighted that the festival would further facilitate the cultural exchange between Japan and Malaysia. “Both Japanese and Malaysian local cultures have distinctively experienced pleasant interchange over the years, and exuding strong influence on Malaysians, its residents, and visitors. Subsequently, we hope this will draw big crowds to our Nihon Matsuri 2022 Festival as part of our continuous effort to bridge and reinforce the relationship between Japan and Malaysia, both socially and economically,” Koo said.
“The festival will also add refreshing appeal to the cultural perspective of Japan through infusion of new cultural elements, which I personally believe would spark more interest from the people to know more. On the other hand, this event would possibly outset long-term attraction of more visitors to the destination, extension of length of stay, as well as driving publicity and business opportunities to the merchants in Malaysia in the long run,” indicated Koo.
The five-day festival will showcase more than 100 booths that will offer wide selection of Japanese food, games, merchandises and variety of activities. In addition, visitors can directly experience the “true Japanese way” right at this immersive cultural event with activities such as the Japanese traditional dance, musical stage performances, Japanese handicraft workshops, Shinto walk, wishing wall and Presento Tawā (gift tower). This festival also provides opportunity for all participants to learn, experience and appreciate the cultural differences and similarities.
